The Predator V8 sounds mean - Just listen to the 2020 Shelby GT500's four exhaust modes

This is a perfect example as to why you can never replace the V8. Throw on whatever turbos you want to on a small displacement motor but you will never replicate this growl. The Shelby GT500 in 'Track' mode simply sounds incredible.

The nice thing is you do not have to leave it in that mode. It is very easy to quiet the exhaust down by switching to 'Quiet' mode. This is the perfect strategy for getting around ridiculous exhaust laws such as California's latest cash grab attempt.

Not only is this a great argument for a valved exhaust it shows you can still have a V8 that screams performance while remaining compliant with the emissions and fun police.

Has a nice little bit of rasp to it. One of the best sounding V8's I've heard certainly when you consider it is the factory exhaust .

Ford knows how to make engines sound good. One category that LSx always lost to Mod motors, old Terminators sounded amazingly well. This new engine sounds beastly too, less rumbly and more modern/exotic if i must say.

I won't lie. I miss the sound of a cammed and modded NA 7.0 liter Z06.
