    • Evolution Performance is first to the 9's with the new GT500 Mustang - 9.93@140.43 1/4 mle

      This was only a matter of time with how quickly the aftermarket is adding power to the 2020 Ford Mustang GT500 5.2 Predator V8. Evolution Performance is the first tuner to break into the 9's with the platform.


      They ran 9.939 with a very healthy 140.43 trap speed:


      Achieved at full weight on the factory 20-inch tires no less.

      The setup is said to mimic the bolt on E85 setup with upgraded injectors and a pulley swap Lund Racing showed making over 900 horsepower to the wheels.

      That is a lot of power to run 140+ though. Imagine if the GT500 weighed 500 pounds less.

      Edit: The car also has a Kong Performance ported supercharger.

        Agreed. I was guestimating that car would be closer to 150mph looking at the 900whp runs. Transmission tuning is still holding them back, but I don't think that will find them more than a few mph.
