    • BMS and Pure Turbos get massive gains out of the 2.7 liter Ecoboost V6 in the 2018 Ford F-150 - Over 500 lb-ft of wheel torque

If you felt the 2.7 liter Ecoboost V6 was not worth considering, think again. The numbers BMS (Burger Tuning) just posted on 91 octane (with some ethanol blended in for dyno pull safety) are eye opening to say the least.

How does 477 whp and 504 wtq sound?

This is with just a JB4 and a Pure Turbos Hybrid turbo for the 2.7 liter Ecoboost they are calling a Pure 575.

The stock turbos with a JB4 put up 391 rear wheel horsepower.

Bang for the buck hardly even gives these numbers justice. Incredible F-150 tuning value here!

477 rwhp out of a 2.7 Ecoboost... wow.

I may have to pick up a Ranger and see what BMS can do with it.

That would be a potent little crossover.

Just on stock turbos this thing was so scary, it's a really light truck. When I would tow a one of our cars with this to SS/NFZ I had no problems going up the grape vine. I would pass regular cars and trucks with ease. Now I can't imagine with more power LOL Click here to enlarge

I was thinking of buying a Ranger for towing but this has me rethinking it.

I don't think they do or if they do they haven't posted about it.

Maybe that is why Terry is sending them a 3.5?

I think Steve is sending his out, I'm not too sure anymore. I'm so lost on projects it's hard to coordinate them Click here to enlarge

On another note, I'm picking the car up tomorrow morning Click here to enlarge

They are working on the Pure750 upgrade for the 3.5 Ecoboost. They feel like the current offering for the 2.7 should ultimately be good for around 550 WHP once they get some additional tuning sorted out, which indicates the 3.5 upgrade should be good for about 650: https://www.pureturbos.com/store/for...o-upgrade.html

I have my doubts about the 3.5 holding together at 600+ WHP, but if they do it would seal the deal for me on a 3.5 over a 5.0 with a blower.

According to Pure, the upgrade in this article is actually called a Pure600 upgrade: https://www.pureturbos.com/store/for...de-turbos.html

750? That implies crank output? Holy crap...

Thank you for the links and information

Looks to me like crank numbers but damn good either way.

Does anyone know if the internals of the 3.5T differ from the Ford GT to the Raptor? From what i can tell they are both the "high output" versions of the 3.5T.

I suspect it will hold just fine at 600whp and that makes it one rowdy truck.

Car is soooo fast. I actually prefer it with bigger turbos cause now it's less torque peaky, but still has so much tq down low.
        It just MOVES!

        Dragy it. I'm curious.
