    Great news for those looking to knock some weight off their car. Antigravity Batteries updated their Lithium-Ion lightweight battery lineup with three options which feature a brand new wireless key fob remote for emergency starts. Yes, that means should you return to a dead battery you press a button and you get a wireless jumpstart. This resolves an issue where with previous battery designs you would need to physically press buttons on the battery for a restart but needed electrical power to pop the trunk and reach said battery. The new battery design also does not require a tray but will just pop right into the place of you old battery. Scott from Antigravity explains below. Scott from Antigravity Batteries here, I wanted to drop some information on our NEWEST Lithium Batteries... yes they are actually ground-breaking! – To start, we wanted to make our newest battery accessible for more Vehicles and Customers. We found many people just wanted the EXACT SIZE that fit in their car. So that is what we did, the new batteries are a DIRECT OEM FIT. Meaning it is the same size as your stock battery, so you will not need a special tray or any other adapters or modifications to mount them. Most of you will just be concerned with the H6/Group48 size battery. So we did that size and also the H5 and H7. Plus we will have Group 35 ,and Group 51 and expand out from there. But the "H" sizes are used in most Euro Sports Cars including BMW, Audi, Porsche, Ferrari, Lamborghini, etc.... so these will fit them all. – We have also made the batteries available in different amp hours. The Amp Hours Capacities available for the H6/Group48 model are 24Ah, 30Ah, and 40Ah. By offering different amp hours the Customer can choose a battery that is more tailored to what they are looking for. For example people who track and want the lightest weight possible might want the 24Ah (9.5lbs), a person who wants to have a solid Ah yet still benefit substantially from Lightweight can go with a 30Ah (11.5lbs) and a person who might have some Cameras, Radar Detectors, luxury options and other stuff on the Car might want a 40Ah Battery (16lbs). Keep in mind if you use a 24Ah battery you will not have as much time that the car can sit in storage compared to a 40Ah model. – SUPER COOL NEW FEATURE ALERT!!! So one of the ULTRA-COOL items we developed into this latest battery (yep, first in the world) is a WIRELESS KEYFOB REMOTE that is used to operate our RE-START built in Jump-Starting feature. If you are not familiar with our RE-START feature, its basically a built-in jump starting for the battery, so in the event you ever come back to a dead battery you can awaken the battery with the Keyfob and start the car and drive off. So in effect you would never be stranded with a dead battery! - Weight of the Batteries H6/Group48 Case @24Ah is 9.8 lbs , H6/Group48 Case @30Ah is (11.5lbs) , H6/Group48 Case @40Ah is (16.5.5lbs) so you definitely have some options for dropping some weight. -Availability.... finished production will be at the end of February we expect to be shipping in first week of March. We are initially doing the 24Ah and 40Ah models, the 30Ah Version will not be in until April. I currently have 10 pieces of H6 @24Ah models and 10 pieces of H6 @ 40Ah that we have used to take pictures, and develop Marketing materials, some we will be sent Industry people, but unfortunately that is not enough to openly sell them yet.     Car is soooo fast. I actually prefer it with bigger turbos cause now it's less torque peaky, but still has so much tq down low. It just MOVES!

    This would be sooo awesome. Then I can finally get to Vegas in sub 3 hours. :) I also love stopping at Hodge road, take my 1911 and some targets to shoot in the middle of nowhere.

    The TVS1740 at the heart of the LT4 is way too small for the big 6.2 V8. Still, it can propel bolt on Camaro ZL1's as well as C7 Corvette Z06's into the 9's. The trap speed shows the LT4 with bolt ons is not all that far ahead of the LT5 stock. That is important to mention as bolt on LT5's with the R2650 supercharger will blow these numbers away. Both cars feature the same LT4 mods: To get further on the factory blower modifying the heads and cam are necessary but the best thing to do for big power is to replace it with something else. Those 1.3X 60 foots certainly are incredible for full street weight cars.

    Enough of this. As if it was not bad enough the new Supra is just a G29 Z4 coupe the parts sharing between Toyota and BMW is going to expand. Toyota seems content to just let BMW handle the heavy lifting with their cars. The same B58 in the Supra is expected to go into the next generation Lexus IS models. Pros: - IS performance will not be a joke - Solid tuning available - BMW tuners will be happy - Toyota saves money Cons: - Toyota is getting lazy - Toyota is getting dependent - Too much free time for engineers to sing karaoke - Toyota sold its soul BMW tuners and those marketing B58 parts will be ecstatic. Maybe early Japanese reports are wrong but where does this stop? Will IS-F an GS-F models start using M powerplants? Is Toyota just giving up on delivering their own turbo powerplants? Source

    If you are a McLaren 720S owner (lucky you) the amount of tuning options hitting the market is incredible. Weistec just launched their W.3 turbo upgrade for the platform and it is making some big, big power. Here is the W.3 turbo upgrade on 91 octane pump gas overlaid with a stock run from a car with aftermarket downpipes: There is just a slight spool sacrifice for what amounts to a whole lot more top end punch. Do not forget these are numbers on a Mustang dyno. Let's just say Weistec is adding roughly 300 crank horsepower which is conservative based on this dyno type. Wheel output rises to 846 horsepower and 709 lb-ft of torque. The torque curve is flatter and wider too before dropping off around 6800 rpm. 846 to wheels on a Mustang dyno on 91 octane pump fuel is simply crazy everyday power. The water-meth system is doing wonders and if you are not running water-meth injection, think it over again. This is a hybrid turbo upgrade: We are in the era of 1000 horsepower McLaren 720S M840T's being the norm.     Ever hear of NRC (Nolimit Racing Clutches) out of Germany? BimmerBoost.com is not familiar with the name either but they are rolling out various DCT upgrade options. The upgrade pictured is for an F10 M5 and said to be good for 900 lb-ft of torque. As you can see it features 8-discs and one would think these clutch discs would potentially carry over to other BMW DCT models. Frankly, the BMW market could use more DCT upgrade competition as many upgrades that are on the market are said to be hit or miss. Who is running the NRC upgrade successfully though? Nobody BimmerBoost knows of in the USA and their website does not have info on the pricing, availability, etc.

    Thank you for the links and information Looks to me like crank numbers but damn good either way. Does anyone know if the internals of the 3.5T differ from the Ford GT to the Raptor? From what i can tell they are both the "high output" versions of the 3.5T. I suspect it will hold just fine at 600whp and that makes it one rowdy truck.

    If you had to double or triple check it was California proposing this idea you are not alone. The idea makes so much sense and frankly is damn cool it will never make it. California is considering adding two lanes to the I5 or CA-99 that will be allowed to top 100 miles per hour. Why? Well, the high speed railway system proposed years ago is nothing more than a boondoggle. Over $100 billion wasted to this point and the state still does not have high speed rail. Adding two lanes with no speed restriction would not only be cheaper it would actually work. How about adding a couple lanes to Vegas too while you're at it? Car are safer than ever with more power than ever and you already have cars capable of reliable triple digit speed in your garage and if not plenty are for sale. Do we really need to waste another $100 billion before figuring out high speed lanes would do a world of good? Hasn't Germany already proven this? Source

    Did they at least ship it to you for free or for $1? I keep getting calls and emails about “specials” these last two months from all the places we visited a year ago. I hope that the wine is really good. After trying to finish off some cases of wine , I am starting to feel like I’ve found some better ones in the $25-30 range . So Ive cancelled all of our auto shipments. It gets pretty expensive when the cases are getting up to $500. I can’t imagine paying $1500 for 6! I’ll read up on the Sine Qua Non.

    There is a 30-minute video that accompanies the testing results but for those who do not have a half-hour to spare AudiBoost will summarize what you need to know. Essentially, the 2.5 TFSI sees a restriction with the factory elbow pipe and the Eurocode/SRM pipe is aerodynamically engineered to improve flow. Plenty of data is provided and you will see gains through the curve although the meat of it is in the mid-range: Max gains on Stage 1 91Oct out of 4 runs near redline These value are for Horsepower and Torque increase to the wheels, see graphs. 21HP & 26lb/ft TQ @ 4150RPM Run 1 18HP & 15lb/ft TQ @ 6350RPM Run 2 15HP & 13lb/ft TQ @ 5950RPM Run 3 14HP & 12lb/ft TQ @ 6000RPM Run 4 Max gains on Stage 1 E85 out of 3 runs near redline These value are for Horsepower and Torque increase to the wheels, see graphs for reference. 14HP & 11lb/ft TQ @ 6800RPM Run 1 11HP & 10lb/ft TQ @ 6000RPM Run 2 15HP & 15lb/ft TQ @ 5500RPM Run 3 Let's look at Run 1 on 91 octane: And Run 1 on E85: The gains are not as pronounced on the E85 tune but you still see gains in similar rpm ranges showing the factory piece is a restriction. Going to a hybrid turbo would exacerbate the factory restriction. This will work with all factory hardware: It might be interesting to see what a bored out throttle body would do with the more efficient pipe.

    43 AMG owners no longer have to feel left out and they are getting attention with turbo upgrades for the M276 DELA30 V6 coming to market.
